In 2011, a 20 foot tall Santa Claus was stolen from the Coffee Caboose on Route 16 in West Ossipee, NH.
17 Cox, an art gallery in Beverly, MA is launching an investigation into the theft and is inviting artists and non-artists to make work in response to or aiding in the return of the 20 foot Santa Claus. There are no size or media restrictions, all art, writing, film, performance and creative interpretations (see above) will be considered.
Their goal is to have the 20 foot Santa Claus returned by December 23, 2012 or raise funds towards its replacement.
